Ladies T-shirts Then…
When we first got started as screen printers, there was no such thing as ladies t-shirts. Almost all the t-shirts in the marketplace were “unisex” which was code for men’s sizing. We ladies just dealt with it. We wore the men’s t-shirts in smaller sizes so they would fit and rolled up the sleeves because they went all the way down to our elbows!
Nowadays, there are so many choices in ladies t-shirts that it’s overwhelming! Different weights of fabric, different cuts, lots and lots of brand names. Some good, some you probably wouldn’t want to wear because they do things like have the side seams go crooked after the first washing or they lose their shape in other ways.
My personal favorites in t-shirts would have to be the softer styles and lighter weights in 100% cotton. This Gildan SoftStyle ladies v-neck is one example of a nice, soft ladies’ tee. Speaking of v-necks…
V-Necks and Scoop Necks
Anyone else like me and prefer v-neck or scoop neck ladies’ t-shirts instead of crew necks? Oh wait. I KNOW you do because I’ve gotten asked for them lots of times over the years, like I did for this shirt for the annual ladies’ retreat for Sharptown United Methodist Church. The ladies really loved this comfortable District Made tri-blend v-neck t-shirt in red frost. The combination of polyester, cotton, and rayon makes it a super-soft and silky shirt.
After choosing a shirt, then you have to decide what to put on it. The ladies for this retreat had a concept that they wanted to print to convey the theme of the retreat, Faith Over Fear. Our Art Director, Domenic, pulled it together to produce a classy look. The ladies loved it!
