United Advocacy Group and Americorps

I talk often about the importance of building your brand awareness with wearables. This polo is a good example. United Advocacy Group and Americorps are partners, so their branded shirts reflect that fact. We put the main UAG logo as the front left chest design, and then we added their Americorps partner logo on the right sleeve.

Sometimes people think they can’t afford wearables like this for their small business, but if you have a brand partner, you might have access to funds from them to underwrite the cost. All you have to do is be sure to use their logo with yours. Often they will contribute enough to the project that it covers all of your cost.

This works with promotional items, too. It’s called co-op money in some places. Your bigger brand partners often have marketing dollars that they can provide to you for branding and marketing. If you are unfamiliar with how it works, check out this link for a short description.
